Becky Stevens

Yard & Business manager

Evented from Pony club going up through Juniors and then Young Riders finishing in the top 10 at Bramham CCI***National Young Rider Championship 2 years on the trot and short listed for the British Young Rider team. Didn’t make the team the first time of being shortlisted due to an injury sustained at the final trial, but did manage to recover in time that autumn to go on and jump clear and complete Blenheim CCI***.

The following year went on to compete in her first Badminton CCI**** with a fantastic ride cross country unfortunately twicked a tendon so didn’t get to show jump. But was also lucky enough to be fit and sound to go back to Badminton again the next year with much more knowledge of how tough and demanding a CCI**** was, both horse and rider better prepared and this time as well as another fantastic ride cross country they managed a excellent show jumping ride as well!becky_compressed

Becky has taught numerous pony clubs throughout her career and this year taught at VWH junior camp, and teaches the working pupils & students at Field Farm Stud. Becky is able to treat each horse as an individual and enjoys understanding what makes them tick and learning how to get the best out of them, by how they like to be handled, to who they like to be turned out next to, which fields / stables they prefer, to what feed suits them best . Becky also teaches working pupils and students the art of stable management to ensure maximum happiness and performance of all horses and shows how attention to detail and really getting to know the horses makes all the difference!
